Metso to engineer and deliver Geological Survey of Finland pilot plant

Metso signed an agreement with Finland’s Geological Survey (GTK) to engineer and deliver process technology for GTK Mintec’s new pilot plant in Outokumpu. The facility will expand minerals processing and circular economy research, with Metso handling plant delivery and GTK experts guiding design. The pilot is targeted to be operational by end-2028 and supports testing of technologies aimed at reducing water and chemical use.
