Metso was chosen to supply multiple process technology packages for the New Simberi Gold Project Expansion in Papua New Guinea, including grinding, flotation, thickening and filtration equipment. The ~€10m contract is recorded in Minerals segment orders for Q3 2026. The upgrade targets a shift to sulphide ore, aiming for about 200,000 oz of gold annually and higher mining rates, with equipment such as Vertimill and TankCell circuits.
