Metso is introducing the Sampo Cell, a next-generation coarse particle flotation technology designed to improve recovery of coarse particles without reducing fine recovery. The approach reduces the need for extensive grinding by expanding the efficient particle size range. Since March 2026 it has run 24/7 in scavenger duty at a copper mine in Chile, with commercial launch scheduled for Sept. 10, 2026.
