Meta to Pay $12.7B in Teen Safety Deal Tied to Rivals' Safeguards
Meta will pay 70% of a multistate teen safety settlement, about $12.7 billion, guaranteed over the next decade, with the remaining $5.3 billion released only if TikTok and YouTube adopt similar safeguards.
