Meta apologised to Indian officials after an error restricted a post by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s IT ministry previously summoned Meta executives, and Hyderabad police registered a case against Meta India head Arun Srinivas over Facebook videos said to depict Modi abusively. Zuckerberg later apologised to the government for child sexual abuse material, deepfakes and other platform lapses, after a July removal order.
