Merck and Moderna Personalized mRNA Melanoma Vaccine Wins Phase 3 Trial
Merck and Moderna said their individualized mRNA melanoma vaccine succeeded in the first Phase 3 run. INTerpath-001 enrolled 1,137 patients with resected stage IIB-IV cutaneous melanoma and tested up to nine vaccine doses every three weeks plus pembrolizumab every six weeks for about 56 weeks. Both the primary endpoint and distant metastasis-free survival were met, with effect size not yet disclosed.
