MBK Partners has threatened legal action against Korea Zinc management over alleged false and misleading claims in explanatory EGM materials posted ahead of an extraordinary general meeting. The MBK-Young Poong alliance, seeking board control, says the materials selectively distort performance of MBK portfolio executives and demands removal and safeguards. It warns of possible criminal complaints if demands aren’t met as Sept. 9 votes on five outside directors, including an audit committee member.
