Maersk Shifts Asia-Europe Routes Back via Suez on New Service

With Houthi threats persisting in Yemen’s Red Sea sphere, the AE15 Asia–Mediterranean–Europe Gemini service will use trans-Suez, and Maersk’s MECL Middle East–U.S. East Coast route is shifting to Red Sea–Suez routing in August. The change will start with the Berlin Maersk (Voyage 628W) and Maersk says the Suez/Red Sea passage is fastest, most sustainable, and efficient for Asia–Europe freight.
