Madhepura factory becomes a training ground for 30% of Alstom engineers
In an interview, Alstom discussed its Make in India locomotive project tied to one of the largest railway FDI investments in India. Locomotives were initially designed there, with some components manufactured there and assembly in India. Alstom said it is in discussions with Indian Railways to maintain production continuity at Madhepura, citing performance that can haul 6,000 tonnes at up to 120 kmph.
