Maaden’s aluminum and gold units drive Q2 revenue growth, offset phosphate slump
Maaden reported Q2 EBITDA of $1 billion, up 3% year on year, with net profit attributable to shareholders of $600 million. Aluminum revenue rose 49% to $1.01 billion as realized prices jumped 51% to $3,915 per tonne, despite slightly lower volumes. Gold and Growth Minerals revenue increased 34% to $523 million, helped by higher gold output, while DAP price gains only partly offset lower volumes.
