LX Semicon begins mass production of MCU for Hyundai and Kia
LX Semicon has begun supplying its first automotive microcontroller unit (LX61101) to Hyundai Motor and Kia, starting mass production of the motor-control chip for automotive body electronics. Built on a 40-megahertz Arm Cortex-M3 core, it supports real-time monitoring of speed, position, direction and torque while meeting reliability and safety standards such as AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262, marking the first domestically manufactured MCU use by the two automakers.
