Loblaw to Invest $1.2B in 2026 Capex, Opening More Discount Stores
Loblaw expects to invest about $1.2 billion in capital expenditures through the rest of 2026, expanding grocery and pharmacy networks. It now targets roughly 75 new store and Shoppers Drug Mart openings in 2026 and plans renovations across more than 190 locations, including refreshed food and fresh offerings, to improve value, convenience and access to care.
