LIC CEO says OFS float may improve price discovery; VNB jumps 61.3%

During a Q1 FY27 earnings interaction, LIC MD and CEO R Doraiswamy said the government’s recent offer for sale should raise public float over time and improve price discovery, even as the stock trades below its IPO price. He highlighted a 61.3% year-on-year jump in Value of New Business to Rs 2,370 crore, with the VNB margin rising to 22.9% from 15.4% on a richer product mix.
