LG Electronics will work with chip designer CoAsia SEMI to develop two ultra-low-power AI IoT system-on-chips for next-generation smart home appliances, manufactured by Samsung Electronics’ foundry arm. The effort is part of South Korea’s K-On-Device AI Semiconductor Technology Development initiative funded until 2030, targeting always-on sensing chips that cut power use and bill-of-materials costs.
