LG Energy Solution said the Trump administration, via the US Department of the Interior, reported a US$4.3 billion Tesla supply agreement using LFP cells from its Michigan plant for Tesla’s Megapack 3 BESS. The company’s Lansing facility invested about US$1.4 billion to retool, bringing 17GWh annual LFP BESS cell capacity online and targeting over 50GWh of output for US markets by year-end.
