Residents of Oregon’s Lincoln County filed suit against Weyerhaeuser over a Dec. 12, 2025 landslide that destroyed at least two houses and drove mud, rock, trees and other debris onto their properties, burying about 1,000 feet of OR 229. The complaint alleges Weyerhaeuser knew of hillside instability and that clear-cutting increased landslide risk, with personnel visiting residents weeks earlier.
