Lawsuit alleges Meta, TikTok, Snap, YouTube platforms drove four teens to suicide
A lawsuit filed in Delaware Superior Court by the Social Media Victims Law Center alleges that Meta, TikTok, Snap, and YouTube are addictive and dangerous to children. It cites four teens whose deaths followed years of use linked to addiction, severe sleep deprivation, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation, and claims the companies knew. Meta faces a federal trial in August in Oakland.
