Lawsuit alleges Apple failed to safeguard against AirTag stalking
Two Southeast Michigan residents sued Apple in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, alleging the company failed to adequately protect people from stalking using AirTags. The filing says Apple knew AirTags could be bought to track and abuse others and that safeguards were not yet implemented when released in April 2021. One plaintiff alleges repeated real-time tracking by an ex-partner.
