Law Firm Seeks Recovery of Legal Fees From Enel
Davis Polk filed a lawsuit in New York state court seeking payment of legal bills tied to its representation of Enel’s subsidiary High Lonesome Wind Power in an Allianz weather-risk derivative dispute. After Winter Storm Uri, the deal’s calculations indicated High Lonesome owed Allianz more than $125 million. Davis Polk says it pursued good-faith fee recovery before suing, and the Allianz case remains pending in federal court.
