Lansing $2B Battery Campus Supports Toyota EVs and Grid Energy Storage
Toyota’s $2 billion battery manufacturing campus in Lansing, Michigan is operating and producing large-format cells for both EVs and grid-scale energy storage. The site makes NMC cells for Toyota’s EV supply chain and supports LFP storage systems for utilities and businesses. Staffing is projected to grow from about 900 to 1,700, while expanding cleaner transportation and more reliable electricity storage capacity.
