Kroger to Shift Harris Teeter Jobs to India, Thousands of U.S. Jobs at Risk
Kroger says its plan to save $500 million includes shifting back-office and tech roles for Harris Teeter to a new center in India, transitioning technology and digital positions there. Reports say thousands of U.S. jobs could be eliminated. Kroger also quietly canceled a $92 million Concord automated delivery center that was projected to create 692 jobs.
