Kroger Lowers Sales Forecast as Inflation and Price War Squeeze Shoppers
Kroger expects comparable sales excluding fuel to rise as much as 0.8%, below its prior forecast for up to 2%, and aims to grow online sales. Unit sales growth has slowed as shoppers buy only essentials while higher gas prices and inflation pressure intensify.
