Komatsu to Expand Autonomous Tech for Dozers and Excavators With AIM

Komatsu is collaborating with AIM to expand autonomous technology for bulldozers and hydraulic excavators for customers in Japan and the U.S. The agreement combines AIM’s physical AI with Komatsu-linked construction planning, jobsite management and remote operation, aiming to improve safety and productivity while reducing environmental impact. AIM has deployed autonomous fleets, and Komatsu autonomous machines are operating at U.S. sites, with rollout planned in Japan in 2027 and retrofit options for existing fleets.
