Komatsu and AIM Partner to Expand Autonomous Construction in US and Japan

Komatsu and AIM are combining Komatsu’s Smart Construction digital platform with AIM’s autonomous operation technology for bulldozers and hydraulic excavators. The integrated system uses digital construction plans and terrain data to support autonomous earthmoving, progress tracking and performance reporting within one workflow. Autonomous machines are already operating at U.S. jobsites, with Japan deployment planned for 2027, including retrofits for existing equipment.
