KKR and Apollo join Enbridge’s C$2.7B Westcoast pipeline financing
Enbridge secured a C$2.7 billion financing deal with KKR and Apollo for two previously approved Westcoast natural gas pipeline expansions in British Columbia. The investors receive an indirect cumulative 29% interest in the broader system when Sunrise enters service, while Enbridge retains majority ownership and operating control. Aspen Point is expected online in 2026 and Sunrise in late 2028, lifting capacity toward about 3.9 Bcf/d.
