Kioxia Rejects Closer SK Hynix Tie-Up Over Antitrust Hurdles
Kioxia’s CEO says closer manufacturing ties with SK Hynix would face antitrust hurdles and are hard to reconcile with Kioxia’s jointly-owned production facilities with SanDisk. While SK chairman Chey Tae-won had floated such a tie-up, the firms are not in talks. Memory shortages are pushing prices up as Kioxia and SanDisk plan large capacity spending.
