Kenyan President Orders Tata Chemicals to End Operations in Kenya

Kenya’s President Ruto said the government will bring two new companies to take over operations for Tata Chemicals. He cited a late-July order for Tata Chemicals’ unit to suspend operations at the Magadi Soda factory and to stop soda ash exports. Ruto also said no factory had been built in Kajiado and said new chemical production and a glass company would be brought there.
