KBR Secures $1.1B NOAA Weather Data Contract for Five Years

KBR was awarded a follow-on NOAA National Weather Service contract to provide commercial weather observational data across the United States for five years, with a $1.1 billion ceiling value. The firm-fixed-price, single-award IDIQ runs Sept. 2026 to Aug. 2031 and will be managed from Greenbelt, Maryland, via its Mission Technology Solutions unit. KBR plans to spin off the unit as Trinzic in January 2027.
