Kakao Pay has completed a proof of concept for an integrated digital asset wallet that expands its existing prepaid wallet system to also hold and trade on-chain assets, including stablecoins. Kakao Group plans to use its payment network and 43 million users to support future stablecoin distribution infrastructure and has Kakao Bank verify integration under security and regulatory requirements.
