The Justice Department filed a $125 million Americans with Disabilities Act lawsuit against Uber, alleging it denies service to hundreds, potentially thousands, of passengers with disabilities. The complaint says Uber turns away riders with service animals, wheelchairs or other mobility devices, or whose disability-related appearance or behavior may inconvenience drivers. DOJ seeks an order to stop discrimination, modify policies, and train staff and drivers.
