JPMorgan Chase and Argonne create method to assess deep QAOA at scale
Researchers from JPMorgan Chase and Argonne National Laboratory developed a way to evaluate high-depth QAOA calculations for large Sherrington–Kirkpatrick model instances without running the algorithm end to end. Using DOE supercomputer simulations and parameter optimization, they studied algorithm performance despite classical and quantum cost limits, including a mathematical convergence result in the infinite-size limit.
