Joby Cash Burn Surpasses $200M as FAA Certification Draws Near
Joby Aviation’s quarterly cash consumption has topped $200 million as it races toward FAA certification for its S4 eVTOL, even as it raises additional funding. In Q1 2026 it completed a $600 million equity sale and a $690 million convertible debt issuance, lifting liabilities to $985 million (+156% YoY). Management projects a 2–3 year runway through certification by end-2026 and first commercial flights.
