Jin Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul to merge under Unified Jin Air in 2027
South Korean low-cost carriers Jin Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul approved plans to combine under a single airline provisionally named Unified Jin Air on 17 March 2027, pending shareholder and aviation and regulatory approvals in December. The deal follows Korean Air’s planned acquisition of Asiana on 17 December 2026, with Jin Air inheriting assets, liabilities, employees, contracts and legal obligations. The combined carrier will operate 58 aircraft and gradually integrate fleets, operations, maintenance, booking and customer services
