Jin Air, Air Busan, and Air Seoul approved their merger in separate board meetings, planning to launch as Unified Jin Air on March 17, 2027. Korean Air’s acquisition of Asiana Airlines brings the carriers into the same group. The airlines will combine routes, fleets, and resources for economies of scale, unify operations and maintenance gradually, and complete an Integrated AOC and safety systems, supported by joint pilot and crew training.
