JD.com Sets Up Korean Entity to Buy Products for China Sales
JD.com established a Korea-based business entity to directly purchase Korean consumer goods for sale in China. With support from Korea’s trade ministry and related agencies, the company held meetings with about 200 Korean firms and secured deals worth a combined $1.5 million for shipments via its China B2C platform. JD.com plans to expand direct buying as demand for K-beauty and K-food grows.
