JD Sports Fashion PLC appointed Peter Agnefjäll as chair of the board effective 1 September 2026, succeeding Darren Shapland, who has served as interim chair since the 21 July 2026 annual general meeting. Shapland will continue as an independent director. Agnefjäll brings nearly two decades of senior retail leadership experience, including CEO roles at IKEA Group and chair positions at other major companies.
