JBS Reverses Plan to Close Pennsylvania Souderton Beef Facility

JBS has reversed its plan to close the Souderton, Pennsylvania beef facility, aiming to transform it into a dedicated value-added operation and preserve about 400 jobs at its JBS USA unit. Beef harvesting and processing would stop from 14 August, with some 208 roles affected. The company also announced Wesley Batista’s return as CEO from January 2026.
