J.B. Hunt to Spend Over $1 Billion Converting to Freightliner Conventionals

J.B. Hunt has entered an exclusive agreement with Freightliner to deliver up to 15,000 Century Class conventional trucks, with deliveries starting mid-September. The company plans to spend more than $1 billion over the next five years to convert its highway tractors from cabovers, taking about 800 this year and around 3,000 next year, including Legacy Class tractors built from traded-in cabovers.
