Jamaica Drives Cemex’s Regional Profits as Divestments Proceed
Cemex’s South, Central America and Caribbean division, including Jamaica, posted US$66M operating EBITDA in Q2, up 34% year on year, with the sharpest margin expansion of any division. Free cash flow from operations rose to US$637M. The results come as Jamaica’s October 2025 hurricane Melissa damaged thousands of structures, while Cemex continues asset sales, including a US$928M Dominican Republic deal and an agreed Colombia disposal for about US$485M.
