Iraq pushes Basra-Fishkhabur pipeline with Chevron and UCC

Iraq is pushing forward a Basra-to-Fishkhabur oil pipeline project with Chevron, TI Capital and Qatar’s UCC, including a planned westward branch to Syria’s Baniyas port. Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair said the project is key for diversifying export routes away from heavy reliance on Hormuz. Exports rose to over 3 million bpd in September, while output stays within OPEC targets below 4.2 million bpd.
