Investigation says LG smart TVs scan networks and watch users

An investigation by Gamers Nexus found evidence that LG smart TVs track what users watch using ACR, and may also scan users’ local networks and collect information about connected devices without their knowledge. The report recommends turning off LG’s Live Plus ACR feature and disabling Home Promotion, Content Recommendations, and related ad tracking controls in the TV’s settings.
