Intel Linux Specific Absorption Rate Driver Marked Orphaned
Open-source Linux kernel support for Intel’s Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) driver is being marked as orphaned because no Intel maintainer remains. The driver, tied to INTEL_SAR_INT1092 and used to help dynamically limit RF exposure from Intel M.2 modems, entered the kernel in Linux 5.15 and has had limited recent fixes despite Intel exiting the modem business years ago.
