Texas Instruments builds semiconductor chips used in electronics including those in cars and phones. Its Sherman site opened in December, with one factory already producing 300mm wafers that are processed into chips at other TI sites, then tested and packaged for clients such as Apple, Ford, Nvidia and SpaceX. The site aims for more than 100 million chips per day at full production.
