European Commission authorizes Ingredion’s Benicaros SF Pure P, a plant-based soluble carrot fibre upcycled from carrot pomace, for commercial use across the EU. EFSA deemed the novel food ingredient safe after scientific review, enabling its use in certain foods, beverages and nutritional supplements. Benicaros is positioned to support beneficial gut bacteria and short-chain fatty acid production at low 300mg per day.
