Indiana Michigan Power says about 425,000 residential customers in Indiana would see lower bills in 2027, saving roughly $8 a month on average, if state regulators approve its plan. It also proposes freezing customer rates for three years. AEP’s subsidiaries include Kentucky Power, where regulators previously approved a rate increase, and Indiana plans tie future capacity to a Rockport, Indiana coal plant targeted to operate by 2030.
