Indian Oil to import 45,000–55,000 tonnes of LPG monthly from Algeria

IOC will import 45,000 to 55,000 metric tonnes of LPG each month from Algeria via very large gas carriers, about 540,000 to 660,000 tonnes annually. The shift follows Strait of Hormuz disruptions that exposed India’s reliance on Middle East suppliers and led to LPG shortages. Algeria’s lower pricing supports IOC’s diversification away from Gulf dependence.
