India to Sell Up to 6.5% LIC Stake in 314.1 Bn Rupee Share Sale
India’s market regulator has cleared LIC to meet a 10% public shareholding requirement by May 16, 2027. The government’s offer for sale allows it to sell up to 6.5% of LIC, with a 2% base offer and an option for an additional 4.5%, at a floor price of Rs 382 per share. The sale opens for non-retail investors Tuesday and retail investors Wednesday.
