Two Chinese nationals in the Inland Empire were sentenced to federal prison for importing counterfeit iPhones and iPads from China and exchanging them at Apple stores across Southern California for genuine devices. The scheme caused Apple at least $16.2 million in losses. Wenhui Huang received six years and six months and $16.2 million restitution, while his second-in-command, Yang Song, was sentenced to just under five years and ordered to pay $16.9 million.
