IBM Connects Two Cryogenic Quantum Modules Toward Fault-Tolerant Computing

IBM says it has joined and cooled two large cryogenic quantum modules into a single environment, a milestone toward fault-tolerant computing. The modules can reach about 4 Kelvin in under five days and later below 15 millikelvin. IBM’s roadmap aims to use L-couplers to link processors for at least 1,000 programmable qubits by next year.
