A joint venture between energy utility Iberdrola and a data-centre developer plans investments exceeding €2 billion, positioning it as the largest European energy utility–data centre JV to date. Its first project, Madrid Sur, will cover 160,000 square meters and provide 144 MW of processing capacity with a secured 230 MW electricity connection, with further projects potentially taking total related investments to about €6 billion.
